José Feliciano
Feliciano is a world renowned performer who is
often cited as the first Latin Artist to cross over into the English music
market, opening doors for other Latin musicians who now feature
prominently in the American music landscape. Born blind to humble
beginnings in Lares, Puerto Rico, Feliciano taught himself to play and
today is hailed by many critics as the world's "greatest living
guitarist." Feliciano has garnered over forty-five Gold and Platinum
records, and been recognized by his musical peers with seven GRAMMY
Awards. Feliciano is also a proud recipient of both Billboard's "Lifetime
Achievement Award" and the Kennedy Center's "Hispanic Heritage Lifetime
Achievement Award."
